DFO - Amundsen Refrigeration

DESCRIPTION :

The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) has a requirement for a
contractor to modernize a refrigeration system onboard CCGS
Amundsen in accordance with CCG Technical specifications titled
'CCGS Amundsen Refrigeration Systems Modernization'.

An option is requested to execute the same work onboard CCGS
Desgroseilliers in accordance with CCG Technical specifications
titled 'CCGS Amundsen Refrigeration Systems Modernization'. The
option will be good for 2 years after contract award.

The Contractor shall provide the required labour, material and
equipment to modernize the Cargo and Domestic refrigeration
systems on the Amundsen which include the following:

· The modernization includes design, engineering, installation
and commissioning of the new refrigeration systems.
· Modernization includes replacing the compressors, electric
motors, condensers, instruments and controls, coolers, piping
and connections, valves, bypasses, interconnections, etc.
· The system must be of marine construction with marine
components and approved by Transport Canada or an accredited
classification society.

The Contractors proposal shall be an integrated package
seamlessly interfacing with existing supply, motor, feedback,
interlocks, metering providing functionality equal to the
current system at a minimum as noted in reference literature.
The proposal shall include, but is not limited to the
installation, parts, drawings, training, testing and
commissioning.

Bidders' Conference (Not mandatory)

A bidders' Conference chaired by the Contracting Authority was
held on board vessel CCGS Amundsen at 0830 on 09th July 2015.

Viewing - Vessel (Not mandatory)

A site visit was held immediately after the bidders' conference
on 09th July 2015 for possible contractors.

WORK PERIOD :

The work period for CCGS Amundsen is from October 28th, 2015 to
December 7th, 2015 in Québec City.

TRADE AGREEMENT:

The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Agreement on
Internal Trade (AIT).

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
