The work under this Contract shall include the furnishing of all
superintendence, overhead, labour, materials, equipment, tools,
supplies, and all things necessary for and incidental to the
satisfactory performance and completion of all work, as more
fully described in the drawings and specifications, at Poplar
River, Manitoba.
The work includes:
Excavate material for launch ramp and dispose of excess material
off site.
Supply and installation and compact granular sub-base and
granular base for launch ramp.
Supply and installation pre-cast concrete launch ramp pads.
Supply and installation of timber float wharf and associated
steel connections.
Supply and installation of new timber anchor crib.
Supply and installation new timber fenders.
Supply and installation of new timber ladder.
The work site described in this specification is located at
Poplar River, Manitoba. Poplar River is located on the east side
of Lake Winnipeg approximately 210 kilometres north of Matheson
Island and approximately 350 kilometres north of Winnipeg. See
Chart of Location on Drawing C-1of 3. Road access to Poplar
River is by winter ice road.
Firms intending to submit bids on this project should obtain bid
