Due to excessive and extreme instances of freezing rain this winter season, coupled with snow & fluctuating temperatures this year, the M.D. used a significantly higher than usual and/or anticipated quantity of pickled sand. The M.D. started the year with full capacity and is currently down to 1000 tonnes and risk not being able to provide the essential service of sanding our roads during snow/ice events. We have sourced 3000 tonnes available locally for urgent delivery.
