The Municipal District of Taber (the “MDT”) seeks proposals from interested and qualified parties, firms, or multidisciplinary teams for professional consulting services related to the development and implementation of an Equitable Property Taxation Policy Development Initiative.
Proponents should be able to demonstrate their qualifications through real and proven experience with Alberta municipal taxation and governance projects, Municipal Government Act (MGA) expertise, Alberta municipal legal counsel, policy and bylaw development experience, and strong stakeholder engagement capabilities.
The municipal Council has prioritized review of the taxation framework to ensure it is equitable, transparent, sustainable, and aligned with legislative requirements and Council’s strategic priorities. Council has approved a Terms of Reference with respect to this initiative and is provided in Appendix “A”.
