Requirement:
The Canadian Coast Guard has a requirement for the repair and
overhaul to as new condition of two (2) main engine ASEA Brown
Boveri (ABB) turbocharger units for the CCGS Samuel Risley
stationed in Parry Sound, Ontario. The turbochargers shall be
completely overhauled and certified for continued service
onboard the vessel as per the manufacturer's specifications.
The Contractor shall be accredited by ABB Inc. as a service
facility experienced and capable of performing the work in
accordance with the associated Technical Specifications detailed
in Annex A. The Contractor shall provide a certificate of
accreditation from ABB Inc in the Bid Documents.
The Contractor shall arrange and be responsible for shipment of
the two (2) turbocharger units and costs from their storage
location in Parry Sound to the Contractor's facility and back to
the Canadian Coast Guard, Parry Sound, Ontario.
Destination:
The work shall be carried out at Contractors facility.
Work Period:
Commence: ASAP after Contract Award
Complete: March 1, 2013
Sourcing Strategy:
The sourcing strategy related to this procurement will be
limited to suppliers in Eastern Canada Region, in accordance
with the Shipbuilding, Repair,Refit and Modernization Policy.
This requirement is subject to the Agreement on Internal Trade
(AIT). This procurement is exempt from NAFTA [see Chapter 10,
Annex 1001.2b, General Notes and from the WTO-AGP (see Appendix
I, Annex 4).

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
