Work Description:
Work under this contract comprises the following:

  • Remove and dispose of 69m of existing steel camel pontoons at

the south side of the approach pier

  • Supply and install:

120 lineal meters of new HD treated timber floats
14 new 457.2mm diameter steel pipe piles
1 new 19.812m long aluminum gangway
3.1m x 4.5m concrete approach, with 2ea 324 dia. Piles
supporting seward end, and lockblock abutment on shore end
2 new electrical kiosk on the new floats, including two 600V
kiosk feeds, one 120V lighting feed, and 7 LED luminaires and
associated lighting controls.

Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules
within the scope of work.

Site Visit:
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to
submitting a tender for this work and to make enquiries or
investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.

There will be no official site meeting. Should contractors wish
to visit the site, please contact the facility manager, Rod
Thompson, at (250)363-6320.

Delivery Date:
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification
of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to
be completed by September 30, 2014.

To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project
is estimated to cost between
$1,100,000.00 - $1,300,000.00.
