NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT (NPP)

This requirement is for the department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
Title: Long Point Canadian Coast Guard Inshore Rescue Base – New Base 2014
Introduction: Work of this Contract comprises the following scope of work:

1. Supply of approximately 100 square metre residence/office inshore rescue base building, transportation to site, earthwork, concrete block piers, installation and levelling unit, tie downs, connection to existing water, electrical and sanitary services and skirting, and other associated items as noted on the drawings

2. Supply and installation of water heater, furnace, air exchanger, air conditioner and condenser unit, range, range exhaust hood, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator/freezer.

3. Other work as specified herein and shown on Drawings

Work shall include the supply of equipment, labour and materials for the performance of all work as required by the Contract Documents.

A manadatory site visit will held on Thursday February 13th at 11:00 AM at Booths Harbour Marina,Lot 1 Concession B St. Williams, Ontario. Bidders to meet at the front entrance of the Canadian Coast Guard IRB station.

Location of Work
The Long Point Inshore Rescue Base project site is located at Booth’s Harbour, St Williams, Ontario.
Ownership of Intellectual Property:
Not Applicable.

Security Requirement:
There is no security requirement for this project.

Mandatory Requirements:

• The minimum acceptable amount of Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance is $2,000,000.00 per occurrence. All tenders must be accompanied by confirmation from the tenderer’s insurance company that the required insurance will be available upon contract award;
• The tenderer must provide tender security, at the tenderer’s own cost, in accordance with the document entitled "Tender Security Requirements" as Bid Security is required for bids over $100,000. Under these circumstances, the Tender and original signed Bid Bond must be delivered to the Closing Location prior to closing date.
• Note: All tender securities will be returned except that of the successful tenderer, which will be retained until the successful tenderer has provided contract security.
