Title:
Asbestos Abatement Standing Offer, Dept. Of National Defence,
CFB Esquimalt, Victoria, BC

Work Description:
Work under this standing offer includes the furnishing of all
labour, material, tools, equipment, supervision and
transportation required to carry out/complete asbestos abatement
projects on an as and when requested basis for Dept. of National
Defence, CFB Esquimalt, Victoria, BC. Work to be done at
various areas in British Columbia as specified in tender
documents. Tradesmen and tools where applicable as detailed
herein are considered to be included in the labour rate.

It is the responsiblity of the contractor to be familiar with
all regulations governing asbestos abatement removal,
transporation and disposal. No allowance will be made for
failure to do so.

DEFINITIONS:
Two categories of individuals are applicable, certified asbestos
removal workers (mechanics) and construction labourers (trades
helpers).

Labour includes the following equipment:
1. Hand removal equipment, knives, scrapers, brushes, rake,
shovels, reservoir sprayers, hoses, nozzles, normal carpentry
tools, power tools, lightings, fire extinguishers, HEPA vacuum
system and ladders.
2. Protective equipment: respirators and protective suits.

Period of Standing Offer: From 1 June, 2012 to 31 May, 2015.

It is anticipated that 1standing offers will be issued. The
total expenditure of the standing offer is $120,000.00 (HST
included).

Site Visit:
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to
submitting a tender for this work and to make enquiries or
investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.

THIS STANDING OFFER CONTAINS A SECURITY REQUIREMENT:
Your company and your employees shall require a Reliability
Status Security Clearance. Clearance paperwork shall be
accomplished between PWGSC and Canadian Industrial Security
Division (CISD) and the successful contractor.
