Nature of Requirements:
TIMBER FLOATS RISO
To establish a Regional Individual Standing Offer to supply
Floating Dock Modules, 9 foot and 12 foot models and all
required materials (timber, planking and buoyancy billets,
nails) and Prefabricate the float modules including
pre-drilling and treatment as per specifications. All
material is to be bundled and shipped DDP to the Destination in
Richmond, British Columbia for the Department of Fisheries and
Oceans Small Craft Harbours. Complete specifications are
detailed in the Solicitation document and drawings.
All timber must meet N.L.G.A. Standard Grading Rules for
Canadian Lumber, latest revision
and must be Coast Douglas Fir No.1 Structural Grade or better.
Including creosote treated in accordance with CSA 080 and Best
Management Practices for creosote as per "Best management for
the use of Treated wood in Aquatic Environments", Canadian
Version dated January 1997.
Salt- treated timber accordance with CSA 080-1989 "Wood
Preservation" and it's current amendments CSA 080.14. Only
non-leachable ACA or ACZA treatments are acceptable.
Polyurea coated buoyancy billets of expanded polystyrene 100%
virgin bead or foam .
Small fastenings will conform to CSA B-111-1974.
Bolts, washers and miscellaneous iron will conform to the
standard for General Purpose
Structural Steel of the CAN3-G40.21-M81.
This Standing Offer is requested for a one (1) year period way
a one year option
