DESCRIPTION:
This Regional Individual Standing Offer (RISO) request involves
the provision, on an as and when ordered basis, of
ready-to-serve Kosher meals.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Meal composition:
Each meal must contain at least:
- 75 gr of cooked protein (meat, poultry, fish or 175 ml of
cooked legumes)
- 1 cup of grain product (rice, noodles, pasta, couscous, etc.)
- 1 cup of vegetables (two kinds of vegetables minimum, NO BEETS)
Note: Potatoes count as a vegetable.
Each meal will also contain less than 700 mg of sodium.
Packaging and labelling:
- Meals will be packed in microwaveable containers.
- A label will be put on each container, showing the meal
description, its composition and the production and
freezing dates.
Permits:
As a food handling business, the enterprise has the
responsability to ensure that the offered products are of
quality and risk-free to the consumers health.
Therefore:
The Offerer will supply a copy of a valid permit, in the
required class, delivered by CFIA or MAPAQ.
The Offerer must have an HACCP Certification or a valid Food
Hygiene and Safety certification, delivered by MAPAQ for the
plant manager.
The Offerer will supply the name and training certification
number of the manager in charge of hygiene and food safety
control.
The above-mentionned documents must be forwarded to the
Contracting Authority before any Standing Offer can be issued.

height, including the thickness of the pallet.

Delay:
Delivery will be made in accordance with the delivery date
mentioned on the call-up document.
Delivery within 24 hours for emergencies.
Minimum value for call-ups will not be accepted.
Security:
Please note that there might be a delay entering and exiting the
institutions.
The client may require that a security investigation be made on
the supplier's delivery staff.
Furthermore, the supplier shall ensure that his staff members
carry a proof of identity at all times, or they will be denied
access to the site.
The delivery vehicles may be searched when entering and exiting
the institutions.
QUANTITIES:
The estimated quantities for each of the required items can be
found in Annex B - Working Document - List of products.
INTRODUCTION OF A NEW CODE OF CONDUCT CERTIFICATION:
Pursuant to section 01 of Standard Instructions 2006, offerers
should provide, with their offer or promptly thereafter, a
complete list of names of all individuals who are currently
directors of the Offerer.
Canada may, at any time, request that an Offerer provide
properly completed and Signed Consent Forms (Consent to a
Criminal Record Verification form - PWGSC-TPSGC 229) for any or
all individuals named in the aforementioned list within a
specified delay.
TRADE AGREEMENTS:
"The requirement is subject to the provisions of the North
American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Agreement on
Internal Trade (AIT)."
