Nature of Requirements:
Request for an Individual standing offer (RISO) to provide
Individual urinalysis testing kit for drug detection in persons
residing in the intensive support units of the Correctional
Service of Canada located at Laval, Quebec.
Individual urine test kit to detect drugs in individuals from
Correctional Service of Canada intensive support units.
· The kit must include the container (cup) to collect the urine,
and the test strips to read the results obtained.
· The container must be designed so that the urine sample cannot
be touched or tampered with; it must also be easy to use.
· The test strips must be easy to read: positive/negative, and
give the results in less than 10 minutes.
· The tests must give readings for:
o 5 drugs: THC (marijuana), metabolites of cocaine, opiates,
amphetamines and benzodiazepines.
· The expiry date must be at least 18 months after receipt of
the product.
· It must be possible to store the tests at room temperature.
· The tests must not involve any handling of urine by the
persons analyzing the results.
· The tests must meet Health Canada standards.
The period of the Standing offer will be from the date of
issue for a periode of two (2) years with the option of
extention for one(1) year.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
