Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) - An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier.

Eagle Copters is a long-time Bell aircraft solutions provider where Eagle technicians/engineers are (OEM) trained and certified. Eagle copter complies with (OEM) specifications and Transport Canada regulations.  Eagle has been working with the National Research Council since 2013 on a number of modifications and upgrades to NRC’s Bell 412 helicopter. The helicopter is presently located at the supplier’s facility in pieces (grounded) because of engineering complexities with these upgrades. As the aircraft is grounded due to engineering complexities normal flight is not possible. In terms of costs and schedule, Eagle does not have to pay ground service transportation as the aircraft is already at the contractor’s facility. The schedule and logistical efforts by the contractor are significantly reduced and improved to meet a project completion date of February 28th 2017.
