Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems

Letter of Interest:

The Department of National Defence has a requirement for Small
Unmanned Aircraft Systems (SUAS) and associated in-service
support and spares.

The Purpose of this LOI is for industry to review and provide
feedback on a draft Request For Proposal (RFP) documents for the
Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems.

Canada will host an Industry Day at Gatineau, QC, Canada on 8
July 2013.

Participation in this LOI process and Industry Day, including
the provision of a response is optional and is not a
prerequisite for participation in a future related procurement.
Interested parties may respond at their sole discretion.

Following the LOI, should Canada determine it wishes to conduct
a soliciation, the requirement will be solicited on a
competitive basis and be advertised on GETS (Government
Electronic Tendering System). It is currently anticipated that
(1) RFP will be result in the award of two (2) contracts to one
successful bidder for

(A) Acquistion of SUAS
(B) In - Service for SUAS

Respondents are asked to submit all feedback related to the
draft RFP documents for the Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems to
b••••••••@•••••.••.ca on or before July 22, 2013.

This is neither a call for Tenders nor a Request For Proposal
(RFP), and no agreement or contract will be entered into with
any contractor, based on responses to this LOI. The issuance of
this LOI is not to be considered in any way as a commitment by
the Government of Canada, or as authority for companies to
undertake any work which could be charged to Canada.

Canada shall not be bound by anything stated in this LOI.
Canada reserves the right to change all or any parts of its LOI
as deemed necessary.

procurement.

Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
