Upon award of contract in Stage Two the pre-qualification list will expire and will not be used in any other solicitation. The qualification list will expire within 180 days or upon award of a contract in Stage Two, whichever is earlier, and the prequalification list will not be used in any other solicitation.

REQUIREMENT

Parks Canada requires reconstruction, repair, and repointing of flagstone pathways and concrete curbs. The site is a ‘cultural resource of other heritage value’ and is located in a national park. The pathways are within the grounds of a publicly accessible landscaped garden.

Portions of the existing concrete and rundle stone pathways are damaged and require repair. The objective of the repair work is to extend the serviceable life of this infrastructure, as well as to complete improvements to safety by eliminating unstable, damaged walking surfaces. The area of repairs consists of rundle stone flagstone mortared atop a concrete slab base. Some areas require full reconstruction and others require localized repointing and/or stone replacement. The concrete curbs also require reconstruction of damaged areas.

To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $100,001 > $ 250,000, Taxes extra.

PERIOD OF CONTRACT / DELIVERY DATE

Contractor must perform and complete the Work no later than October 31, 2024.
