AMENDMENT 002
This amendment 002 is raised to provide questions with answers
to potential bidders as follows:
Question: With reference to the above solicitation number. Item
9 indicates 3 diesel engines. These engine were originally sold
in North America by Deutz, who in turn was purchasing them from
Ruggerini in Italy and brand labeling the Deutz for the North
American market. Deutz can no longer supply these engines and
there has be several changes in ownership of Ruggerini.
Ruggerini was purchased by Lombardini, and Lombardini in turn
was purchased by Kohler in the United States of America. The
model number has also been changed it will be either a KD330-2
or 25LD330-2 but the engine in all aspects remains the same, as
the MD2151 as indicated in the RFQ. The only thing that will
have changed is the name on the engine and the model number,
everything will be the same as the original.
In order to come up with the correct spec that you need I am
going to need more information, can you please supply all the
information located on the engine tag and the engine serial
number of any of the engine you presently have in stock with
reference to this RFQ ?
Answer: This trailer has had an engine change and the books are
still in the works. The part number we want is a Kohler KD425-2.
The story written below is true and is the same purchasing
history story we got when we, internally, went out for a
replacement engine.
All other terms and conditions remain the same.
