The purpose of EPS is to streamline current state procurement processes, systems and tools. EPS will embed GC procurement policies in the EPS solutions. It enforces a risk-mitigation approach to procurement approvals:
by streamlining the approval processes through system-guided and notification-driven workflows, and

EPS will result in the decommissioning of a number of existing legacy systems.
PSPC Finance and Administration Branch (FAB) currently has a requirement for two Senior Business Consultants – Level 3 to provide strategic guidance and advice to the Finance and Administration Branch relative to the Phase I implementation of the Electronic Procurement Solution (EPS) project.
The expected scope of work will cover four areas:
Provide analysis on impacts of the business processes EPS to the FAB employees and work organisation; and the strategic insight on how to improve and optimise the process before its roll-out in full scale to Other Government Departments (OGD).
Provide analysis and feedback on impacts to Vendor community and other stakeholders in the context of using EPS and the possible improvements.
Provide critical variance analysis between initial expectation and finally offered by EPS system;
Provide some insight on the new realistic possibilities that the EPS could offer in the future along with the human, organisational and policies required adaptation.
