Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's Potato Research Centre in Fredericton, New Brunswick, requires the supply, installation and training of a High-Throughput SNP Genotyping Platform, capable of performing potato SNP genotyping and qPCR-based DNA/RNA analysis at high-speed in a 1536-well format. The platform offers a new generation of SNP analysis system that can efficiently and accurately determines the genotypes of many thousands of breeding lines in a typical breeding program. Com

bined with a liquid handler, the Quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) provides a high throughput, sensitive, and accurate solution to conduct pl

ant SNP genotyping and marker assisted-selection with 1536 reactions in

approximately 45 min. The capacity of the system equals that of sixteen

of 96-well thermal cyclers with concurrent miniaturization of individual reactions (0.5-2 uL/reaction).

All deliverables (including supply, install, and training) must be receivedon or before December 15, 2015.

The high-throughput SNP genotyping platform must:

1. be flexible (i.e., possibility of upgrading to higher capacity);
2. capable of handling a set of greater than 12K SNPS markers and at least 384 samples per run; and
3. must include the following components:
o High throughput real-time PCR machine; and
o Microplate reader.
