The existing SO contract with Planet Retail will end July 30th 2016. The SO was put in place through an Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN). The SO was set up for four years which allow Global Analysis to maintain the flexibility of purchase each year through option call ups and would also make the renewal process much quicker and efficient.
Planet Retail will deliver Web access to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and its Portofolio for the sections of its database, as listed in the Standing Offer, once AAFC issues a call-up to select any of the three optional levels of data listed in the standing offer as indicated in their proposal. These are as follows:
1. Core Level
2. Premium Level
3. Strategic Level
Planet Retail will deliver data and analysis as specified in the contract access to the on-line data and analysis will be via IP and / or user ID authentication for AAFC’s and Portfolio’s multiple sites, and will include access to the full text content of published material.

Provide AAFC with 2 licenses electronic access to the selected Option in Planet Retail via a secure network, using IP and / or password authentication.
Ensure that the server has adequate capacity and bandwidth to support the usage of the licensee at a level commensurate with the standards of availability for information services of similar scope operating via the World Wide Web.
Provide training and respond to questions as necessary.
