Cambridge University Press is the publishing business of the University of Cambridge. Their purpose is to further the University’s objective of advancing learning, knowledge and research. In existence since 1584, the Press publishes over 300 academic journals in the sciences, arts and humanities as well as over 100 titles on behalf of Societies. CAL has subscribed to various CUP journals in print form for many years, and AAFC access to the electronic versions of CUP journals was first acquired by CAL in mid-1998.

The Canadian Agriculture Library currently subscribes to 21 of their journals in electronic form. Licensing these electronic journals supports AAFC’s mandate by providing AAFC scientists improved access to information. These electronic journals directly support staff in Science and Technology Branch and CFIA.
