Nature of Requirements:
Industrial Supplies and Inventory Monitoring
The Department of National Defence, 17 Wing, Wing Construction
Engineering Unit, Building 100, Wihuri Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba
supports various renovations and repairs to the various
buildings, roads, sewer lines, water steam lines, and other
miscellaneous Crown Property located at the Canadian Forces Base
in Winnipeg.
This requirement is for a Regional Individual Standing Offer to
support the Wing Construction Engineering Resource Centre, in
the management of their low dollar value, repetitive,
Maintenance, Repair, Operations (MRO) items for the base. Part
of this requirement incudes at a minimum, the supply, delivery,
unpacking, placement in inventory, monitoring of inventory, and
placement of orders on behalf of the Resource Centre.
Mandatory Site Visit
It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site.
Arrangements have been made for site visit to be held on
Thursday, 09 August 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at Department of National
Defence, 17 Wing, Wing Construction Engineering Unit, Building
100, Wihuri Road in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later
than one day before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance
and provide the names of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders
will be required to sign an attendance form. Bidders should
confirm in their bids that they have attended the site visit.
Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be
given an alternative appointment and their bids will be rejected
as non-compliant. NO EXCEPTION WILL BE MADE.
Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting
from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid
solicitation.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
