The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) requires the services of a Contractor to collect the environmental samples in the Athabasca basin region in Northern Saskatchewan, have them analyzed by the Contractor’s or a third-party analytical laboratory, and draft a report on the findings in support of the IEMP. The IEMP results are independent of the licensee’s Environmental Monitoring Program.
