Title: PSAB - Site Remediation Project, Interim Remediation

Location: Pacific Environmental Centre (PEC), West Vancouver, BC

This procurement has been set aside under the federal
government's Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business
(PSAB). In order to be considered, a supplier must certify that
it qualifies as an Aboriginal business as defined under PSAB and
that it will comply with all requirements of PSAB.

Work Description:
Work under the Contract covers remediation of contaminated
material by excavation and off-site treatment and disposal at
the Site. Work to be performed under the Contract includes the
following:

  • Prime Contractor for health and safety and environmental

protection at Site

  • All required design activities to complete Work
  • Pre-mobilization Submittals
  • Progress Submittals, including cash flow and forecasting
  • Prepare Site for Work, including on-site temporary office

facilities for Departmental Representative and Consultants

  • Plan excavation, including geotechnical design
  • Design and operate on site Contaminated Wastewater Treatment

Plant

  • Design and install temporary shoring support to allow

excavation of soil

  • Excavate Waste
  • Excavate Contaminated Waste
  • Excavation of Contaminated Waste to extend to project Site

boundary with zero percent residual contamination

  • Backfill excavations with clean imported fill material
  • Load and transport Waste to a Landfill
  • Load and transport Contaminated Waste to a Disposal Facility

or Treatment Facility for final disposal

  • Restore Site suitable for use as a gravel parking lot

Optional site visit
There will be a site visit on November 6, 2014 at 2:00 pm.
Interested bidders are to meet at the Site Vehicle Gate of the
PEC Site in West Vancouver (see drawings for exact location).

Bidders are to wear personal protective equipment (such as:
hardhat, high visibility vest, work boots) to the site visit.

Delivery Date:
Complete work by March 31, 2015 (Base Work).

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
is estimated to cost between
$800,000 and $900,000 (Base Work).
