The Royal Canadian Mounted Police’s (RCMP), International Policing Development (IPD) manages the deployment of Canadian police personnel to countries experiencing conflict, and in need of capacity building and security sector reform. Specifically, where Canada is a participant in a Bilateral or Multilateral agreement, IPD is responsible for the selection of candidates, including pre-mission health assessments, pre-deployment training; ongoing medical, psychological and logistical support to peacekeepers and their families during mission, and post-mission re-integration. In addition, as a result of organizational change, IPD may expand its role to also provide deployment support and duty-of-care to other RCMP programs deploying police officers internationally.
The RCMP requires the services of one (1) qualified Clinical Psychologist to provide oversight and management of psychological processes and services related to the psychological health and wellness of deploying police officers and their families, and to conduct psychological assessments, intervention, and consultation for international policing deployments.
The contract will be for a period of twelve (12) months. The Contractor will grant to Canada the irrevocable option to extend the term of the Contract by up to four (4) additional six (6) month period(s) under the same conditions.
