Health Canada’s Healthy Products and Food Branch (HPFB) has implemented a Data Science Center of Excellence to strengthen its information management structure across its portfolio of priority projects. Efforts to analyze, manage, and communicate knowledge from various data sources will run in parallel with branch priorities.
The implementation of a Data Science Center of Excellence will ensure that the branch identifies and integrates the most valuable data into the department; designs and manages Logical Data Models; provides expertise in the use of data modelling techniques and business strategies to team members; develops data modeling and metadata policies and procedures to guide project analysis; and to refine the existing data architecture and improve data modeling efficiencies to meet business requirements by using real world evidence.
HPFB will require the expertise of Information Management Database Modellers to support various HPFB business objectives under the new framework as they establish and manage Architecture and Data Models for corporate and project specific initiatives within the branch.
