Requirement-X-Band Scientific Radar

Title

Supply a marine based scientific radar unit for future fitment
onboard CFAV QUEST.

Overall Requirement

Defence Research & Development Canada (DRDC) Atlantic has a
requirement to procure a X Band Radar to perform wave height
measurements in support of scientific experiments onboard CFAV
QUEST.

The acquisition and delivery must be completed on or before 26
OCTOBER 2012.

Mandatory Requirements

Suppliers are to fully demonstrate how their product meets or
exceeds each of the Mandatory specifically listed in Appendix A
of this document and must include all cross references any
supporting documentation (such as product specification sheets)
to the requirement listing table provided. Failure to clearly
linking the requirement with the offered products may result in
bid being declared non-compliant.

Warranty Requirement

The equipment must be guaranteed to be free from manufacturing
and operational defects for a period of twelve (12) months from
the date it was set-to-work by the vendor's representative and
accepted as operationally satisfactory by the Technical
Authority or his designated representative.
The vendor must be responsible for the provision of labour,
parts and field service during the term of the warranty period
and must respond within ten (10) days of being informed by the
Technical Authority or his designated representative of any
defects.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
