The primary purpose of this requirement is to provide DNDwith a handheld transceiver that will provide line-of-sight two-way voice and data communications between personnel on the ground and aircraft, vehicles, fixed sites and other personnel equipped with VHF/UHF AM/FM 30 - 512 MHz radio equipment.
