This bid solicitation cancels and supersedes previous bid
solicitation number F2599-120160/A dated 2012-08-09 with a
closing of 2012-08-23 at 02:00 pm.
Requirement:
To carry out the maintenance and alterations of the Canadian
Coast Guard (CCG) vessel "CCGS Griffon" in accordance with the
provided Specification No. 744.12,
Rev. 4, dated August 30, 2012.
Vessel Transfer Costs will apply to all bids for evaluation
purposes.
Bidders' Conference:
A bidders' conference chaired by the Contracting Authority will
be held at Canadian Coast Guard, 401 King St. W, Prescott,
Ontario on September 19, 2012 @ 0900.
Viewing - Vessel:
Arrangements have been made for a viewing of the vessel. The
viewing will take place on September 19, 2012 @ 1100 at Canadian
Coast Guard, 401 King St. W, Prescott, Ontario.
Destination:
The work shall be carried out at Contractors facility.
Work Period:
Work Period: October 9, 2012
Complete: October 26, 2012
Insurance Requirement
A Ship Repairers' Liability Insurance and a Commercial General
Liability Insurance, each of not less than $10,000,000 per
accident or occurrence and in the annual aggregate.
Sourcing Strategy:
The sourcing strategy related to this procurement will be
limited to suppliers in Eastern Canada Region, in accordance
with the Shipbuilding, Refit, Repair and Modernization Policy
(1996-12-19) subject to the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).
This procurement is exempt from NAFTA [see Chapter 10, Annex
1001.2b, paragraph 1 (a)] and from the WTO-AGP (see Annex 4).

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
