Project title
Exploration Core - Rover Direct To Earth (DTE) Communication
System (RDCS)
Description
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) on behalf of
Canadian Space Agency (CSA) located in St-Hubert, (Quebec), is
seeking bids to develop and deliver a Rover Direct to earth
Communication System (RDCS) Prototype. More precisely, the
purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to provide the
CSA with a functional TRL 4 Rover Direct To Earth (DTE)
Communication System (RDCS) Prototype focusing on pointing and
tracking features; and to demonstrate it on at least one CSA
terrestrial rover prototype on the CSA analogue terrain or
equivalent terrain with the relevant testing equipment including
a mock-up station that emulates the DSN communication station
referred as the DTE Ground Communication Station Emulator
(DGCSE). The scope of the Statement of Work (SOW) which is
included in the RFP documents, encompasses the design,
development, production, assembly, testing and demonstration of
one prototype RDCS along with its supporting equipment including
the DGCSE.
Period of Contract
From date of Contract award until March 31st, 2015.
Maximum funding
The maximum funding available, Goods and Services Tax (GST) and
Quebec Sales Tax (QST) extra, as appropriate, for the contract
resulting from the bid solicitation is $450,000.00. Bids valued
in excess of this amount will be considered non-responsive, as
per PART 4- Evaluation Procedures and Selection Process, section
4.3 Financial Evaluation. This disclosure does not commit Canada
to pay the maximum funding available.
