Environment Canada, Meteorological Services of Canada (MSC),
located at Downsview, Ontario requires a Contractor to rebuild
SFD373 Coaxial Magnetron Tubes on an as-and-when-requested
basis. Environment Canada currently uses SFD-373, SFD-373A and
SFD-373LP as well as VMC2033 models. The magnetrons are
precision, speciality manufactured devices that emit pulsed
Radio Frequency signals which radar sites transmit and the
existing tube has characteristics (Pulse Width and Frequency
Band) suitable for EC-National Radar Program systems. EC expects
to rebuild up to 12 magnetrons annually during contract years 1,
2 and 3 and up to 10 magnetrons annually for contract years 4, 5
and 6. Each repaired unit must be delivered with a 3 year
warranty period.
The contract period will be from the Date of Contract Award to
March 31, 2020.
It is intended to issue one contract as a result of this
solicitation.
A bid must comply with the requirements of the bid solicitation
and meet all mandatory requirements to be declared responsive.
The responsive bid with the highest combined rating of technical
merit and price will be recommended for award of a contract.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
