Wharf Reconstruction, Change Islands, NL
Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement on behalf of Department of Fisheries and Oceans of work that consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment, and material for wharf construction at Change Islands, NL.
The project work will consist of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following:
- Demolition and removal of theexisting infrastructure, as noted on the drawings.
- Remove, store and re-install existing jib crane.
- Construction of a new treated timber crib wharf with reinforced concrete deck, to the dimensions as indicated on the drawings.
- Electrical work, as noted on the drawings.
- Supply and installation of mooring cleats, mooring rings, structural timber for coping, wheelguard, wheelguard blocking, fenders, ladders and associated hardware for new wharf construction.
- Road excavation, grading, and supply and installation of granular base as indicated on the drawings.
- Harbour dredging adjacent to the new wharf, as noted on the drawings.
