Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) on behalf of
the Department of Fisheries and Oceans has the requirement for
dredging and wharf construction at Indian Point, Lunenburg
County, NS.

The work includes, but is not limited to:

.1 Demolition and removal of the existing creosoted timber
cribwork wharf and timber deck.

.2 Dredging of material from the new timber cribwork wharf
footprint and the adjacent harbour basin;

.3 Disposal of dredge material to a designated site.

.4 Supply and installation of rock mattress and scour
protection as well as all of the corestone backfill, gravel, and
rip rap protection required for the new wharf approach; and

.5 Supply and installation of the new fully ballasted,
block-and-span treated timber cribwork wharf complete with
reinforced concrete deck.

.6 Installation of a new concrete deck and concrete retaining
walls.

.7 Removal of existing wharf, including deck, shall not begin
until December 3, 2012 to facilitate the beginning of the
fishing season.

All elements of the work must be completed by March 30, 2013 of
notification of Contract award.
