RECONSTRUCTION OF WHARFS 401 AND 403

SECURITY REQUIREMENT
This request does not contain a security requirement.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The work included in this project include the reconstruction of
wharfs 401 and 403 at the port of Tourelle, Gaspesia peninsula,
QC.

More precisely, the work includes the following :
Supply and installation of various size of rocks for the
construction of a stonework.
Complete demolition of wharf 401 and partial demolition of wharf
403, both made of various structures such as berlinois walls
,cribwork structures and fill materials varying in size.
The recovery of modular concrete slabs and concrete panels for
reuse in new structures such as surface slabs.
Reuse of rock fill and disposal of demolition materials that
cannot be incorporated into the new structures.
Excavation in rock and in unconsolidated deposits to form the
foundation of new wharf 401.
Use of excavated material to backfill the old boat launch.
Storage, on the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) site at
Tourelle, of recovered modular concrete panels and slabs that
are in good condition, but have not been reused in the new
structures.
Recovery of existing electrical components for reuse in new
structures.
Reconstruction of wharves 401 and 403 and a protective structure
against agitation in CCA-treated wood cribwork.
Supply and installation of steel components such as ladders,
bollards and cleat.
Installation of recovered electrical components as well as
supply and installation of conduits and other accessories
(pullingbox, concrete base for lightning) for electrical
services.
DFO will provide CCA-treated wood and galvanized nuts and bolts
for the construction of crib structures, except for the load
floor and its attachment hardware. The Contractor shall consider
,in the bid, that treated wood will be stored at 1 km from
harbour.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
New measures related to Code of Conduct and certifications
included in the solicitation documents requires attention.

MANDATORY CRITERIA AT CLOSING DATE
The Bidder shall enclose bid security with its bid;

MANDATORY CRITERIA PRIOR TO CONTRACT AWARD
Bidders should provide, with their bid or promptly thereafter, a
complete list of names of all individuals who are currently
directors of the Bidder. If such a list has not been received by
the time the evaluation of bids is completed, Canada will inform
the Bidder of a time frame within which to provide the
information. Failure to provide such a list within the required
time frame will render the bid non-responsive. Bidders must
always submit the list of directors before contract award.

Canada may, at any time, request that a Bidder provide properly
completed and Signed Consent Forms (Consent to a Criminal Record
Verification form - PWGSC-TPSGC 229) for any or all individuals
named in the aforementioned list within a specified delay.
Failure to provide such Consent Forms within the delay will
result in the bid being declared non-responsive.

PERIOD OF WORK
The work is to be completed by March 31, 2013.

The budget, for this project, is between 1 000 001 $ and 5 000
000 $

and will be solely responsible to inform the tender calling
