The Department of National Defence seeks a contractor to supply
Nanaimo Military Camp, Nanaimo Range and CFMETR (Canadian Forces
Maritime Experimental Test Range) Nanoose BC with Waste &
Recycle collection and disposal services.
Work is to be performed during the period from 01 March 2015
award up to and including 28 Feb 2017. There is a single one
year renewal option to be exercised at the sole discretion of
the Crown.
The requirement includes a security requirement.
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work sites. Arrangements have been made for the
site visit to be held at CFMETR near Nanaimo, BC on 13 November,
2014. The site visit will begin at 10:15 PST, at the main
entrance to the facility. The site visit will involve travel
between two locations, and Bidders or their representatives must
ensure that they are equipped with appropriate means of
transportation.
Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority by email
no later than 12:00 pm PST 7 November 2014 to confirm attendance
and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend.
Specific directions will be provided to Bidders at that time.
Representatives will be required to produce a piece of
government issued photo identification to be allowed access to
the site.
Bidders who do not confirm attendance and who do not provide the
name(s) of the person(s) who will attend as required will not be
allowed access to the site. Bidders will be requested to sign an
attendance sheet. No alternative appointment will be given to
bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative.
Bidders who do not participate in the visit will not be
precluded from submitting a bid.
Bids will be evaluated based on lowest price and best ability to
provide the services required. Final selection will be
determined by reference to pricing.

It is the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure that all
addenda issued prior to solicitation closing have been obtained
and addressed in the submitted bid.
