Work Description:
The project includes refurbishment work tothe exterior planters at the Pacific Forestry Centre, located at 506 West Burnside Road, Victoria, BC. The work involves removing and disposing of the plastic/fiberglass planter boxes and metal planter box frames including sheet steel; removing and disposing of drainage system and irrigation system for planters; capping off water supply at source and draining at main line connection; removing loose paint from structural steel columns that support the planter boxes and from connections and existing mechanical ducts and prepare for repainting; repainting structural steel columns and mechanical ducts; fabricating new horizontal structural steel members and installing to steel columns at previous planter box locations using bolting system; shop priming andpainting new horizontal structural steel members; and installing new cap flashing on steel beams and connections.

Site Visit:
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries orinvestigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.

There is an optional site visit for prospective bidders on Tuesday, December 15th, 2015 at 1:00pm PST at the main entrance of the Pacific Forestry Centre located at 506 West Burnside Road, Victoria, BC.

There will be a 2nd optional site visit for prospective bidders on Tuesday, January 5th, 2016 at 9:30am P.D.S.T at the main entrance of the Pacific Forestry Centre located at 506 WestBurnside Road, Victoria, BC.

Delivery Date:
The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within twelve (12) weeks of Contract award.

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between
$675,000 to $725,000.
