PROJECT IDENTIFICATION: Dam, Long Sault Island, Timiscaming,
Quebec Project # R.053664.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The traffic deck of the Timiskaming Quebec Dam is deteriorating
and at risk of having its capacity fall below that required by
the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code. Further deterioration
of the precast concrete deck could result in the imposition of
load restrictions on the crossing, which is an interprovincial
route, and would significantly impact traffic movement between
the two provinces. This project would improve the reliability of
the structure such that the deck could continue to carry the
normal highway traffic and be in compliance with the Canadian
Highway Bridge Design Code. Traffic will continue to use the
existing roadway during the project.
Work is to be completed within sixteen (16) weeks after contract
award. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the
following category: $500,001.00 - $1,000,000.00.

This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement. At
bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Designated
Organization Screening (DOS). Failure to comply with this
requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further
consideration will be given to the Bid.
