Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement
for the full rehabilitation of the Runway located at the Wabush
Airport in Wabush, NL. This work shall be completed in phases
and shall include but not be limited to the removal and disposal
of asphalt, base material work, new asphalt with markings, the
installation of manholes, catch basins, storm sewers and surface
drainage, as well as related site reinstatement. This project
also has an electrical component.
This procurement consists of a two-envelope Invitation to Tender
(ITT) bidding process. Refer to the Invitation to Tender
documents for details.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
BIDDER'S CONFERENCE: There will be a scheduled bidder's
conference on Wednesday February 25, 2015 at 1:30 pm. Interested
bidders should check in on the Main Floor of the John Cabot
Building, 10 Barter's Hill, St. John's, NL. Please Note: The
names of each individual attending the bidder's conference,
along with the name of the firm they represent, should be
provided to the Contracting Authority by Friday, February 20,
2015 at 2:00 pm. All names are to be submitted to the
Contracting Authority Cheryl O'Brien by facsimile (709)772-4603.
In the event that any bidder is unavailable to attend this
bidder's conference in person, attendance by Web-Ex is
available, please contact the Contracting Authority named herein
for further details.
It is recommended that bidders visit the site and its
surroundings and verify the form, nature and extent of the work,
the means to access the site, and in general obtain all
necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other
circumstances prior to submitting bid.
