PROJECT IDENTIFICATION:
R.066711.002 and R.720041.001, High Voltage Cable Replacement,
two locations: Confederation Heights, 501 Heron Road, Ottawa and
the Central Experimental Farm, Ottawa.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project consist in underground high voltage distribution
electrical cable replacement. The removal of the faulty cables,
the disposal of it, the replacement with cables provide by
PWGSC, performing all the testing required and the Start up /
commissioning.
Work is to be completed within four (4) weeks after contract
award. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the
following category: $100,000 to $250,000.
MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT:
This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement. At
bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Facility Security
Clearance at level of SECRET. Failure to comply with this
requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further
consideration will be given to the Bid.
OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:
There will be a site visit on Tuesday October 22nd, 2013 at
10:00am. Interested bidders shall meet first at Confederation
Heights, 501 Heron Road and once this visit completed,
interested bidders are to meet at the Central Experimental Farm,
in the parking that is adjacent to Building 21 on Winding Lane,
Ottawa.
Safety Attire - It is mandatory that all persons attending the
site visit have the proper safety footwear (CSA approved green
patch) as well as a hard hat. Contractor personnel/individuals
who do not have the proper safety attire will be denied access
to the site.
