Work Description:
Work under this contract involves supplying all materials, plant
and labour for perimeter fence replacement at the the Transport
Canada Airport Facility located in Sandspit, Haida Gwaii,
British Columbia. The site of work is on the federally owned
land on which the airport facilities are located. Work will be
performed in accordance with the contract schedules within the
scope of work. This includes but is not limited to the following:
- Replacement of approximately 874 linear metres of existing
page wire fencing with 1.2m high chain link fencing
- Installation of frangible composite fencing at each end of the
runway as per the drawings
Site Visit:
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to
submitting a tender for this work and to make enquiries or
investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.
There will be a site visit on October 21, 2014 at 9:30am PDST.
Interested bidders are to meet at the Airport Manager's office
at the Sandspit Airport, British Columbia.
Delivery Date:
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification
of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to
be completed within eight (8) weeks of contract award.

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project
is estimated to cost between
$220,000.00 - $280,000.00.
Firms intending to submit proposals on this project should
obtain documents through Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Addenda, when
issued will be available from Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders.
Firms that elect to base their proposal on documents obtained
from other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely
responsible to inform the tender calling authority of their
