Note to Tenderers:

Work Description:
Work under this Contract is to take place at Palace Grand
Theatre in Dawson City at Yukon Territory as shown on location
plan on drawing S0. The existing Palace Grand Theatre is a
heritage building.
Work under this Contract comprises, but is not limited to, the
provision of all labour, materials, services and equipment
necessary for the followings:
(1) The foundation replacement of the existing Theatre Building
as fully described in the Tender documents.
(2) Remove and re-instate existing mechanical and electrical
service as required to allow for the foundation replacement.
(3) Demolish existing skirting walls and construct new skirting
walls as shown on the drawings.
(4) Prepare crawlspace floor and install drainage, insulation,
etc. As shown on the drawings.
Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules
and within the scope of work.
Site Visit:
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to
submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or
investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.
A site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, 2015 @ 9:30am
local time. Interested bidders are to meet at the Palace Grand
Theatre, Dawson City, Yukon. The Theatre is located on King
Street between Second and Third Street.
Vermiculite is present but well contained. Parks Canada staff
do not wear masks in the crawl space but the bidders should be
aware of the situation and decide for themselves. Bidders
should bring their own safety boots, hard hats and flashlights.
Delivery Date:
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification
of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to
be completed within thirty [30] weeks from date of award.
Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
is estimated to cost between $2,500,000.00 and $2,750,000.00.
