SCOPE OF WORK / DELIVERABLES:
The scope of work consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for the roof replacement for the General Services Building, St. John’s NL. The project is to be completed in strict accordance with the specification and accompanying drawings, and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract.
In general, work under this contract consists of, but will not necessary be limited to, the following:
Provide construction hoarding and protection;
Design, supply, erect and maintain any required hoisting equipment to facilitate work for the project;
Remove and dispose of the existing roof system in the area identified on the drawings including but not limited to; 2-ply modified bitumen roofing membrane, insulation, vapour barrier, deck cover (completely to expose metal roof deck), parapet and curb flashings, and all related accessories and items specified herein;
Construct new insulated wood divider curb to separate the adjacent existing roof area with the new roof installation as detailed in the drawings and specifications;
Temporarily remove/reinstall existing metal siding to facilitate the installation of the new roof/wall flashing membranes as detailed in the drawings and specifications;
Supply and install new conventional two-ply modified bitumen roofing membrane system over the main roofs, with new protection board, insulation (tapered where required), vapour barrier, deck cover, metal flashings, insulated metal vent stacks, drains and all related accessories and items specified herein;
Remove and dispose of the existing metal standing seam roof system;
Supply and install new standing seam metal roof system to meet/exceed the FM Global wind uplift calculations as identified on the drawings
