Title: Overhead Doors Replacement, Mechanical / Electrical
Upgrades at Port Hardy Airport Maintenance Garage

Location: Port Hardy Airport, Port Hardy, BC

Note to Tenderers:
Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and
downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard
paper version. Tenderers should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1)
contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
directory structure.

Work Description:
Work to be done under this Contract covers the alterations of
existing Port Hardy Airport Maintenance Garage located in Port
Hardy, BC.

Work includes but is not limited to the following:

• Replacement overhead doors
• Heating upgrades
• Marking locations and areas of penetrations through roof walls

and ceilings for inspection by Canada-appointed testing
laboratory to determine if lead-based paint and asbestos
containing materials are present.

• Canada will appoint and pay costs directly for qualified

hazardous material contractor to perform encapsulation/removal
work. Co-ordinate with qualified hazardous material contractor
so as not to delay Work.

Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules
within the scope of work.

Site Visit:
Contractors are recommended to visit the site prior to
submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or
investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
the site as well as the nature and extent of the work. A site
visit is scheduled on Tuesday, August 13th, 2013 at 1:00pm local
time, at Port Hardy Airport (YZT) Maintenance Garage, located at
3675 Byng Rd, Port Hardy, BC. A maximum of two (2)
representatives per bidder will be permitted to examine the
sites.

Delivery Date:
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification
of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to
be completed within fourteen (14) weeks from Contract Award.

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project
is estimated to cost around
$400,000.00.

bids on tender (solicitation) documents obtained from other
