contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which

Work Description:
Work under this Contract covers the replacement of the existing
IPU (Interruptible Power Unit - Generator) and ATS (Automatic
Transfer Switch) at the Sandspit Airport in Sandspit, B.C.
Work includes, but is not limited to:
Removal of the existing IPU and disposal off-site
Removal of the existing ATS and bypass switch and disposal
off-site
Removal of existing battery charger and disposal off-site
Removal of existing batteries and disposal off-site
Provision of new IPU
Provision of new ATS and bypass switch
Provision of new battery charger
Provision of new batteries
Provision of temporary IPU and ATS to facilitate emergency power
during construction
The Airport must remain operational throughout the construction.
Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules
within the scope of work.
Site Visit:
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to
submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or
investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.
A site visit is scheduled on Wednesday, June 06, 2012 @ 10:00 am
local time. Interested bidders are to meet at the
Administration Building of the Sandspit Airport in Sandspit, B.C.
Delivery Date:
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification
of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to
be completed within eighteen (18) weeks of contract award.
Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
is estimated to cost between $150,000 and $250,000.

Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain
tender (solicitation) documents through the MERX service
provider. Addenda, when issued will be available from the MERX
service provider. Firms that elect to base their bids on tender
(solicitation) documents obtained from other sources do so at
their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the
tender calling authority of their intention to bid. In all
cases, bidders must indicate (when requested) in the space
provided on the tender form the identification number(s) of the
addenda, if any, that they have taken into consideration for
their bid.
