Replacement of Private Family Visit Alarm System, Grand Cache, Alberta
The Correctional Service of Canada requires a private family visit (PFV) alarm system at
Grande Cache Institution in Grande Cache, AS to replace the existing PFV alarm. The PFV
security panel system must provide a means for CSC staff to control the alarm system and
monitor entry and exit events at the PEW unit. The existing wireless alarm control panel will be
removed and replaced with a new hardwired control panel and hardwired alarm points. Existing
wiring for the current alarm system in the PFV may be reused. New hardwired door and window
sensors will be supplied and installed.
The requirement is subject to the provisions the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).
