Title: Fire Alarm System Partial Replacement
Location: Fraser Valley Institution, Abbotsford, BC

Work Description:
Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not
limited to, the following:
1. Supply and install new "Simplex Truesite Workstation" and
19" Touchscreen monitor in existing console in MCCP Room of
Building 'A'. Including all programming, verifications and
training
2. Replace the Fire Alarm Panels in Units #1 through #9
inclusive and in Building 'F'
3. Replace existing Fire Alarm Devices in Unit #1 through #9
inclusive and in Building 'F'
4. Supply and install new devices in Units #1 through !9
inclusive and Building 'F'
5. Remove existing Devices in Building 'F'
6. Supply and installation of new Fibre Optic Fire Alarm
Communications Network infrastructure for new Fire Alarm Panels
in Units #1 through #9 inclusive
7. Removal of existing Fire Alarm Network cabling between Fire
alarm Panels in Units #1 through #9 and Building 'F'
8. Supply and installation of new Range Shutdown Contactors in
Unit #1 through Unit #8 to inclusive. Reconnection of existing
Range Shutdown Contactor in Unit #9 to new Fire Alarm Panel
9. Verification of all new Fire Alarm Panels, existing devices
and new devices in Units #1 through #9 inclusive, and Building
'F'
10. Reprogramming of existing Fire Alarm System including
updates to the "Simplex Truesite Workstation" in Building 'A' to
incorporate all modifications to Units #1 through #9 and
Building 'F'

Site Visit:
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to
submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or
investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.

A site visit is scheduled on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 9:30am
local time. Interested contractors are to meet at the PWGSC
Matsqui Institution Site Office located at 33344 King Road,
Abbotsford, BC.

All contractors must wear a high visibility vest, which meets
WCB standards, for all site visits including a tender site
visit. No cameras, cell phones (of any type) or lap top
computers are allowed into institutions at any time.

Completion Date:
Commence work immediately upon official notification of
acceptance of offer and complete the work within fourteen (14)
weeks from the date of such notification.

To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
is estimated to cost between $100,000.00 to $180,000.00.
