Project #: R.103327.001
The scope of work for this project is for the demolition of the existing concrete slab in the 50 bed living unit. Installation of screw piles in the existing subgrade. Pour a new concrete slab and restore the existing finishes back to original condition.

The Drumheller Minimum Security 50 Bed Living was substantially completed and occupied in 2014. The floor consists of a concrete slab-on-grade built at the ground surface elevation. Within the first year of occupancy, an issue surfaced with the flooring settling substantially in W wing as well as water permeating from the floor area in the washroom area as well as the shower area.

While the unit will be vacated during structural work, it will be partially occupied during repair work for finishes, as a result project phasing must be planned to ensure that disruption to the daily operation of the facilities is kept to a minimum. Due to these constraints it is strongly recommended that potential bidders attend the optional site visit.

The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).

To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $500,001 and $1,000,000.

Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF).
