5P322-14-1023/A – Repairs of Chaffey’s Swing Bridge
Description of Work: Work of this contract comprises the replacement and rehabilitation of the Chaffey's Swing Bridge, abutments, central pier and, associated facilities.
Closing Date and Time: Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 2 o’clock (EDT)
Optional Site Visit:
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at 1724 Chaffey’s Lock Road, Elgin, ON, K0G 1E0 on Monday, October 20, 2014. The site visit will begin at 10 o’clock (EDT).
Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than Friday, October 17, 2014 to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.
Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

Delivery Date: The Work must be completed on or before May 31, 2015.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
