contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
directory structure.
Work Description:
Work of this Contract includes, but is not limited to:
Remove from pier sub-structure of piles with necking and/or
splitting in nature including braces and replace with pressure
treated piles and braces complete with galvanized connections
and Marine reinforced concrete cap to meet WCB temporary support
requirement.
Remove sagged lintels at high level and supply and install new
lintels complete with end supports and connection details as
well as meeting WCB temporary support requirements.
Upgrade bearing failures of ceiling joists including supply and
install of joist built-ups and connection and meet WCB temporary
support requirements.
Remove and replace existing beetle attacked pressured treated
timber post in Main floor columns with proposed length and
connection details and meet WCB temporary support requirements.
Remove structural deteriorated exterior wall; supply and install
matching wall with building envelop details and support
temporary work to meet WCB requirements.
Remove existing catwalk at roof and replaced with pressure
treated timber and details including repair of existing asbestos
roof crown and sheathing with alternative materials complete
with temporary work and precautions to meet WCB requirements and
pay attention to handle Asbestos Material during remediation.
Remove, dispose of existing exterior staircase in Ice House from
main floor deck to upper level and install new staircase with
cedar timber materials and connections complete with handrails
for public access. Remove existing planks, floor sheathing &
misc on existing joists and ramps with misc items near wooden
ice conveyors at upper floor of Ice House. Add new cedar
fencing and matching steel gate & latch to existing exterior
main floor. Also, replace existing ice lift timber members with
matching sizes and details beside Ice House. All work shall be
completed with temporary work and precautions to meet WCB
requirements.
Work will be performed in accordance with the contract
schedules within the scope of work.
Site Visit:
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to
submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or
investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.
A site visit will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 9:30
AM local time. Contractors are to meet at the Gulf of Georgia
Cannery located at 12138 Fourth Ave. Richmond, B.C.
Delivery Date:
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification
of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and the
interior is to be completed with sixty (60) days and the
remaining exterior work with four (4) months after Contract
award.
Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
is estimated to cost between $400,000 and $500,000.

service provider. Firms that elect to base their bids on tender

their bid.
