Work Description:
Work of this Contract covers Construction of a Remediation by
Excavation at Whitehorse International Airport, YT. The work to
be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to
the following:
Prime Contractor for Health and Safety at Site
All design acitivies to complete the Work
Prepare Site for Work
Plan excavation, including geotechnical design as required
Excavate and Re-Instate the Aircraft Active Runaway
Excavate non-contaminated overburden soil and stockpile
Excavate contaminated soil and stockpile
Excavate non-contaminated waste and stockpile
Excavate Special Waste (Non Treatable) and stockpile
Load, haul and deposit contaminated soil on to the onsite Land
Treatment Facility
Load haul and dispose non-contaminated waste to an off-site
permitted disposal facility
Load, haul and dispose Special Waste (Non Treatable) to an
off-site permitted disposal facility
Restore and close Site

The work shall commence immediately upon official notification
of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority is to be
completed by March 31, 2014

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
is estimated to cost between $900,000 and $1,000,000.
