Tender description
RFP for Chemical analyses of marine sediment samples for determination of specified drugs, pesticides, and antibiotics concentrations
Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) collects sediment samples to assess the far-field environmental effects of marine aquaculture on the East and West coasts of Canada. Samples collected at near-, mid-, and far-field locations are analyzed for concentrations of a defined suite of drugs, pesticides, and antibiotics, as well as moisture content.
DFO is assessing the presence and ecological significance of aquaculture-related chemical
compounds in far field environments. As DFO lacks in house capacity for these analyses, a
qualified laboratory is required.
The term of any resulting contract is for Contract Award issuance to September 29, 2027, but Canada may extend the term for up to four (4) additional one-year option periods, to September 29, 2031.
