This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by SaskTel to prospective Suppliers to submit proposals for the provision of a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) Portable Educational Exhibit as further described below (the “Deliverables”):
This RFP is seeking proposals for a portable, interactive telecommunications-focused STEM learning experience designed primarily for elementary school-aged children. The interaction supports SaskTel’s strategic priorities by: Strengthens community relationships across Saskatchewan, Enhancing SaskTel’s brand as a technology and innovation leader, Supports long-term workforce development and talent pipeline objectives, Increases engagement with indigenous, rural, northern and underrepresented communities and Creates a long-term educational asset that can be utilized at community events, outreach programs, schools, career fairs and partner venues. The work includes the full design and build of the transportable exhibit modules and a maintenance period following the project completion. The exhibit would introduce telecommunications and technology concepts such as fibre optics, radio waves, networking, coding, data analytics, and connectivity. Exhibit modules demonstrating different technology areas, the complimentary modules can be combined for a large immersive event or deployed separately for smaller venues and rotated to provide continual audience interest. The fundamental scientific principles demonstrated in the exhibit will be timeless, therefore upgrades will be driven by wear and tear rather than content renewal.
